In the heart of India, among the lush mountains of Kerala

Ananda Matha Ashram Monastery is a Cistercian abbey of the Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance (OCSO).

In silence, we listen.
In work, we serve.
In prayer, we unite.

This is the rhythm of monastic life — where time slows down, and hearts open to something greater.

« The measure of love is to love without measure. »

Bernard of Clairveaux

Word of the community

Look  at the Star

If the wind of temptations starts to blow

If you hit the rock of trials

If the tide of ambition drags you away

If the storm of passions unleashes

Look at the star, appeal to Mary

If you follow her, you've nothing to fear!

Look at the star, appeal to Mary

She leads you on the right path!
